Welcome to my therapy and coaching practice profile:
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am honored to have provided trauma informed care to teens, adults, couples and families for 30 + years. I enjoy working with people who want to create more meaning, purpose and peace in their lives, despite the inevitable difficulties we all face.
Effective therapy and coaching is a collaborative process in which goals are co-created which aim to improve a client's functioning, relationships and quality of life. This process can illuminate more skillful ways for people to manage their emotions and behaviors and clarify their values. Therapy can enhance self awareness so people are able to redirect ineffective patterns. I combine trauma informed/focused, solution oriented, ACT, DBT, Internal Family System and attachment approaches to address a variety of concerns. I also am certified to provide EMDR when indicated.
I often work with people who are experiencing significant life transitions, depression and anxiety, mood disorders, complex trauma and PTSD, acute and complicated grief and loss, addiction/recovery concerns and relationship challenges.
I encourage my clients to develop a daily mindfulness practice and find time each day to pay attention to their deepest values and intention for their lives.
